Wazuka is located in the southern part of Kyoto Prefecture . The tea plantations that covered the hills of this charming town provide about 45% of the total tea production of the Prefecture. The beautiful tea fields are also a famous tourist attractions as they provide lots of great photo opportunities all year round. Tea production in Wazuka has a history spanning over 800 years and there are about 300 families dedicated to making the world famous beverage.
